This Classic Style Smoked Beer offers an evocative sensory experience defined by its traditional beech wood smoke integration. The aroma presents an immediate, pleasant campfire smoke character that harmonizes with underlying notes of toasty, roasted malt. On the palate, the smokiness is assertive yet smooth, echoing the qualities of beech woods without becoming harsh or phenolic. The base lager provides a clean, crisp foundation, allowing the savory, almost woodsy depth of the roasted grains to shine. A moderate bitterness provides structure, leading into a dry, lingering finish where the delicate smoke note persists alongside a hint of caramel sweetness.
Appearance. Rich copper to deep chestnut brown (SRM 15–22) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a dense, creamy off-white head that shows good retention and leaves delicate lacing on the glass.
