This Double IPA, a collaboration with Superflux, presents a saturated tropical profile driven by Citra, Cryo Pop, and NZ Cascade Hop Kief. The sensory experience is defined by intense layers of fresh passionfruit and juicy peach, complemented by bright notes of orange and cantaloupe. The inclusion of hop kief and cryo technology ensures a high-intensity aroma without vegetal harshness. On the palate, the beer is sweet and creamy, transitioning into a pineapple-forward core. A gentle, prickly bitterness provides structure against the 8.2% ABV, resulting in a lush, modern hop showcase that balances soft mouthfeel with vibrant New World fruit character.
Appearance. Straw to deep gold (4-7 SRM). Opaque, hazy appearance with a moderate-sized, persistent, white creamy head and significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent tropical fruit (passionfruit, pineapple), stone fruit (peach), and citrus (orange). A low, neutral, bready malt presence sits in the background, alongside light fruity fermentation esters.
Taste. Strong, complex hop flavors dominated by pineapple, orange, and cantaloupe. Initial impression is sweet and fruity, supported by a soft, bready malt character. Hop bitterness is moderate and gentle, lacking the aggressive bite of traditional versions. The finish is medium-sweet and creamy with a lingering tropical fruit aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, creamy texture. Moderate carbonation. Noticeable but smooth alcohol warmth that is well-integrated. No hop-derived astringency or harshness.
