Cotswold Brew Co’s Hawkstone IPA offers a refreshing evolution of the English IPA, characterized by its vibrant hop-forward profile and balanced malt foundation. A brilliant golden-amber pour delivers an immediate sensory impact with bursts of tropical fruit and bright citrus, supported by a sophisticated floral undertone. The aroma is anchored by a rich, bready malt character that suggests lightly toasted biscuits. On the palate, a firm hop bitterness is expertly integrated with a medium malt body, presenting flavors of orange zest and spicy pepper. This medium-bodied ale finishes crisp and medium-dry, leaving a clean, lingering bitterness that invites another sip.

Appearance. Golden to deep amber (8–12 SRM); brilliant clarity; moderate-sized, persistent off-white head with fine lacing.

Aroma. Moderate-high hop intensity featuring citrus-orange and tropical fruit notes with a floral backdrop. Medium bready and slightly toasty malt character; low fruity esters.

Taste. Initial impression of bready malt followed by assertive hop flavors of orange peel and tropical fruit. Hop bitterness is firm and well-balanced by a medium-low toasty malt presence. Finish is medium-dry and clean with a lingering but non-harsh bitterness.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, well-attenuated texture; medium-high carbonation; very low, smooth alcohol warmth.
