Saison 6.6 º
This elegant Saison is a gastronomic hybrid, meticulously crafted with Albarín Blanco grapes to bridge the worlds of craft beer and fine wine. The sensory profile is defined by a distinct vinous character, where the bittersweet nuances of the Albarín Blanco grapes intertwine with classic spicy and fruity yeast esters. Moderate hop notes provide a balanced foundation, leading to a remarkably dry and refreshing finish. Fine, cava-like carbonation enhances the sophisticated mouthfeel, while a subtle, integrated acidity cuts through the palate. It is a nuanced, 100% Asturian table beer that prioritizes balance and culinary versatility over traditional yeast-driven intensity.
Appearance. Pale gold to soft orange (SRM 5-8). Clarity is slightly hazy due to being unfiltered. Unlike traditional versions, the foam is not persistent; a thin, creamy white layer disappears quickly after pouring, reminiscent of the carbonation in cava or sparkling wine.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity featuring an aromatic blend of spicy yeast phenols and vinous Albarín Blanco grape notes. The fruit character is bittersweet and fresh, complemented by low to moderate continental hop aromas of earth and wildflower. Light grainy malt remains in the background.
Taste. Initial impression is refreshing and dry with a balanced acidity. Flavors of pome fruit and white grapes from the Albarín Blanco addition dominate the mid-palate, supported by moderate hop bitterness and spicy yeast-derived black pepper. The malt presence is low and grainy. Finishes very dry and crisp with a lingering, clean vinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with very high, fine carbonation that feels integrated and effervescent on the tongue. There is a light, well-integrated alcohol warmth from the 6.6% ABV. Features a clean, refreshing acidity with no significant astringency.
