Cosa Nostra Brewing Co.

This Double India Pale Ale presents a saturated hop profile, driven by an aggressive triple dry-hop addition of Cryo Idaho 7, Cryo Amarillo, and El Dorado. The sensory experience is dominated by a lush bouquet of overripe mango, pineapple, and zesty orange, punctuated by a distinctive, resinous dankness from the infusion of marijuana terpenes. Beneath the intense fruit and herbal layers, a clean, supportive malt base provides a soft foundation. Each sip delivers a concentrated wave of tropical stone fruit and pine, finishing with a firm, lingering bitterness and a smooth, warming alcohol presence that reinforces its substantial strength.

Appearance. 6–8 SRM. Deep gold to pale orange with a heavy, opaque haze. Features a thick, persistent, creamy off-white head that leaves dense, persistent lacing.

Aroma. High intensity aromatics of tropical pineapple and mango from El Dorado, blended with citrusy orange peel from Cryo Amarillo. Cryo Idaho 7 contributes complex pine and stone fruit, while the terpenes add a pungent, herbal, and skunky dankness. Low, neutral bready malt in the background.

Taste. Explosive flavors of candied apricot, grapefruit, and resinous pine. The hop bitterness is firm and assertive, balanced by a subtle, grainy malt sweetness. Fermentation is clean, allowing the complex interplay of tropical fruit and botanical green notes to lead into a long, resinous finish.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, creamy, and velvety texture. Moderate carbonation. A smooth, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present without being harsh or solventy.
