Corfu Microbrewery IPA
This English IPA presents an intense sensory experience, defined by its unfiltered, turbid character. Aromas of floral blossoms and spicy-peppery hops lead the way, supported by a rich, bready malt backbone. On the palate, the hop intensity is assertive yet balanced by a medium-full body that feels more substantial than typical examples of the style. Flavors of citrus orange and toasted biscuit emerge before a lingering, pleasant bitterness takes hold in the finish. The double fermentation and presence of yeast contribute to a complex, savory depth, making this Contessa a bold, characterful representation of the style.
Appearance. Deep golden to amber hues; notably turbid and unfiltered appearance due to the presence of yeast. Topped by a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head with good lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity with a dominant hop character of dried flowers, earth, and spicy-orange notes. Supportive malt aromas of fresh bread and light biscuit are present, accompanied by low fruity esters and a subtle yeasty richness.
Taste. The initial impression is hop-forward with assertive bitterness and flavors of spicy pepper and citrus peel. A supportive, rich malt foundation provides notes of toast and biscuit. The fermentation character is clean but complex, leading to a medium-dry finish where the bitterness lingers pleasantly without becoming harsh.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, creamy texture enhanced by the unfiltered yeast. Carbonation is moderate to medium-high, providing a crisp counterpoint to the richness. A subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is noticeable.

The brewery is very modern and equipp
ed with the latest technology. 1000 litres of beer can be produced in each brew.
The brewery produces two real ale beers and a Pilsner, in future they also plan to produce a wheat beer. These beers are produced under the German purity law, using a fine aroma hops and special malts (roasted malts, caramel malts). All friends of Corfu beer are invited for a tour at the microbrewery, on Saturdays and Sundays after an appointment. For more info
