CoolHead Brew Thunderstruck Garden
Thunderstruck Garden is a vibrant Hazy IPA that bridges the gap between Finnish craftsmanship and Catalan flair. This collaboration showcases a potent trio of New Zealand hops from Freestyle Hops: Motueka, Rakau, and Riwaka. Expect an explosion of lime zest and mojito-like citrus from the Motueka, harmonized by the lush apricot and plum notes of Rakau. The Riwaka adds a layer of tropical passionfruit and a signature resinous, dank edge. With its soft, pillowy body and restrained bitterness, this beer delivers a juicy, sun-soaked experience that is both intensely aromatic and effortlessly smooth.
Appearance. Straw to deep gold with a distinct orange hue (SRM 4-6). Opaque, uniform haze with a luminous shine. Thick, white, meringue-like head with excellent retention and dense lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma. Dominated by tropical notes of passionfruit and lime zest. Secondary layers of peach, apricot, and a hint of dank, resinous pine. Clean, bready, and grainy malt supports the fruit with no toast or caramel. Low fruity fermentation esters.
Taste. Massive fruity hop flavors featuring bold lime and grapefruit leading into juicy stone fruit and tropical passionfruit. Low to moderate bitterness that is exceptionally smooth and never harsh. Malt is light and doughy, providing a neutral base. The finish is off-dry and juicy with a lingering tropical aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, creamy, and pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation. Very low astringency with a gentle, well-integrated alcohol warmth consistent with its strength.
