Cocomotion is a decadent Imperial Stout that exemplifies the luscious, dessert-focused profile of a modern pastry stout. At 12% ABV, it delivers an intense sensory experience anchored by the aromatic richness of toasted coconut and the earthy, bittersweet depth of raw cocoa. The profile is characterized by a thick, viscous delivery where tropical, oily coconut notes meld with dark chocolate and espresso-like roasted malts. It balances high residual sweetness with a smooth, warming alcohol presence, resulting in a complex, harmonious liquid that feels both tropical and deeply roasted. The finish is long and indulgent, leaving a lingering impression of coconut macaroons and dark cocoa nibs.

Appearance. Jet black and completely opaque (SRM 40+). It pours with a dense, dark brown head that shows moderate to low retention due to the high alcohol and coconut oil content. Significant viscosity is visible as legs on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity with a dominant bouquet of toasted coconut and raw cocoa. Underneath, there are rich layers of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, and slight burnt grain. Low esters of dried plum and raisin are present, accompanied by a noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth.

Taste. Initial impression is highly sweet and rich, leading with intense toasted coconut and bittersweet raw cocoa. The malt profile is complex, featuring flavors of dark chocolate, toast, and espresso. Hop bitterness is moderate but masked by the thick malt backbone and adjunct sweetness. The finish is long and sweet with a lingering coconut and cocoa aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Full to very full-bodied with a thick, chewy, and velvety texture. Carbonation is low to moderate. A significant but smooth alcohol warmth is present, enhancing the luxurious, luscious feel without being sharp or solventy.
