Heavy Drops is a vibrant Double IPA that showcases an expressive hop profile driven by Citra, El Dorado, and the experimental YQH-1320. The sensory experience opens with an intense blast of tropical fruit, specifically notes of sweet pineapple, guava, and ripe stone fruit. Citra contributes its signature bright citrus and grapefruit zest, while El Dorado adds layers of watermelon and candy-like fruitiness. Beneath the heavy hop saturation, a clean, neutral malt base provides structure without competing for attention. The finish is impressively dry and crisp for its strength, featuring a smooth, lingering bitterness that invites the next sip.

Appearance. Pale gold to light orange with a slight, modern haze. Features a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by tropical and stone fruits. Prominent scents of pineapple, mango, and peach from YQH-1320 and El Dorado are balanced by Citra's grapefruit and lime peel. Low, grainy malt sweetness remains in the background with a clean, neutral fermentation profile and a very subtle hint of alcohol.

Taste. A forceful impact of tropical fruit and citrus flavors, mirroring the aroma with heavy notes of papaya and tangerine. The malt character is soft and unobtrusive, allowing the hop complexity to lead. It finishes quite dry with a firm but smooth bitterness that persists cleanly on the palate.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a crisp lift. A well-restrained, smooth alcohol warmth is present but never solventy.
