This powerhouse Double IPA makes a bold impression with its high-gravity profile, often referred to as a Triple Hazy. Leading with a vibrant bouquet of citrus zest and ripe stone fruit, the sensory experience is layered with an intriguing bubble gum ester derived from expressive fermentation. Despite its 10% ABV, the beer maintains a remarkably smooth and lush presence. The palate mirrors the aroma, delivering intense tropical and orchard fruit notes against a soft, supportive grain bill. A firm but well-integrated bitterness balances the initial fruit sweetness, leading to a boozy, warming finish that remains clean and remarkably drinkable for its significant strength.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (6-8 SRM); opaque with a heavy, characteristic haze; thick, creamy off-white head with excellent retention and dense lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring bright orange citrus, nectarine, and apricot stone fruit; distinct bubble gum esters are present alongside a subtle, clean, bready malt background; noticeable but smooth alcohol warmth is present without being solventy.
Taste. Dominant flavors of pithy citrus and fleshy stone fruit; moderately high bitterness that avoids harshness; low, soft, and unobtrusive malt character; mid-palate reveals sweet bubble gum notes; medium-dry finish with a lingering hoppy and warming alcohol aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, velvety, and creamy texture; moderate carbonation; significant and pleasant alcohol warmth that is well-restrained; very low hop-derived astringency.
