Cloudwater Meadow is a vibrant Belgian Single reimagined as a low-ABV table beer. It captures the essence of a monastic session ale while leaning into modern hop profiles. The nose and palate are defined by the bright, tropical influence of Citra and Motueka, delivering notes of lime zest, mango, and crushed citrus. These contemporary hops meld with traditional Belgian yeast, offering peppery phenols and subtle pear esters. A soft, crackery malt base provides structure without weight, leading to a crisp, dry finish. Despite its sessionable strength, it maintains the assertive bitterness and high carbonation characteristic of the Belgian Single style.

Appearance. Pale yellow to light gold (3-4 SRM). Features a brilliant clarity and a voluminous, billowy white head with excellent persistence and intricate lacing.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Bright citrus and tropical notes from Citra and Motueka (lime, grapefruit, lychee) lead, followed by a classic Belgian yeast profile of white pepper and light clove. Subtle grainy, crackery malt notes provide a clean background.

Taste. Initial impression is crisp and dry. Soft, bready malt sweetness is quickly overtaken by a firm hop bitterness and vibrant flavors of lime and passion fruit. The yeast contributes a spicy, peppery snap and light pear esters. The finish is very dry and clean with a lingering citrus zest and floral hop aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Light body but smooth. Carbonation is high and lively, providing a refreshing, prickly sensation. No alcohol warmth is present due to the sessionable strength.
