Interference Is Temporary is a refined Red IPA that balances deep amber malt complexity with a lean, West Coast-inspired finish. The aroma is dominated by a vibrant hop profile where Simcoe and Loral drive notes of fresh pineapple and zesty orange, layered over a classic foundation of resinous pine. On the palate, the modern, light and crisp presentation allows the specialty malts to provide a subtle toasty and caramel-tinged backdrop without heavy sweetness. It finishes with a firm, clean bitterness typical of the style, maintaining a sharp focus on its hop-forward character while showcasing a sophisticated, layered malt backbone.
Appearance. Deep amber to reddish-copper with excellent clarity. Topped by a persistent, off-white to light tan head that leaves fine lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Bright citrus and tropical fruit notes of orange peel and pineapple are prominent, courtesy of Loral and Simcoe hops. These are complemented by a distinct resinous and woodsy pine character. The malt provides a supporting role of lightly toasted bread and soft caramel sweetness, with a very clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial hop-forward punch of grapefruit, pine, and pineapple. The malt presence is moderate, offering flavors of biscuit and toffee that provide a brief mid-palate richness before the West Coast influence takes over. High hop bitterness that is firm but not harsh. Finishes dry and crisp with a lingering resinous aftertaste and a touch of specialty malt toastiness.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a crisp, slightly lean texture. Moderate to high carbonation provides a lively mouthfeel. Very low alcohol warmth, staying smooth and highly drinkable with no perceptible astringency.
