Big Fish, Little Fish is a formidable Double IPA that leans into the Triple IPA realm with its 10% ABV strength. This collaboration between Cloudwater and Time & Tide showcases a massive hop profile where the resinous, dank qualities of Idaho 7 merge with the vibrant, tropical pineapple juice character of El Dorado. Soft citrus notes from NZ Cascade add a brightening layer to the intense fruit-forward bouquet. Despite its significant gravity, the beer maintains a surprisingly light and clean finish, ensuring the complex hop interplay remains the focus without becoming cloying or overly heavy on the palate.

Appearance. Pale gold to light orange (6-8 SRM). It displays a moderate, persistent, off-white head with fine lacing. While the style allows for clarity, this modern iteration presents a soft, attractive haze.

Aroma. Intensity is high, featuring a complex hop character of ripe pineapple, mango, and stone fruit, underscored by a notable resinous dankness. A clean, neutral, grainy maltiness provides a supportive background. Esters are lightly fruity, and a smooth, well-integrated alcohol presence is noticeable.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical fruit and dank resin. The hop flavor is prominent and complex, mirroring the aroma with pineapple and citrus zest. Bitterness is moderately high and firm but lacks harshness. The malt backbone is clean and soft, leaning toward a dry to medium-dry finish that prevents heaviness.
