At 10% ABV, it delivers an intense sensory experience where hop character leaps from the glass with layers of ripe mango, passionfruit, and bright citrus. The palate is defined by a clean, juicy profile, meticulously refined to balance massive hop saturation with a soft, supportive malt backbone. It avoids the heaviness of a barleywine, instead offering a focused, punchy hop delivery that remains remarkably drinkable. The finish is crisp and clean, leaving a lingering trail of resinous pine and tropical fruit, embodying a modern, impactful hop-forward ale.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper with a slight haze. Features a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head with good lacing.
Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring prominent tropical fruit, citrus zest, and resinous pine. A supportive, clean, neutral grainy malt character sits in the background alongside a faint, smooth alcohol presence and very low fermentation esters.
Taste. Strong and complex hop flavors of mango, grapefruit, and pine followed by a moderately high, clean bitterness. Features a low, soft, and unobtrusive malt character. The finish is medium-dry and clean, with a lingering hoppy and bitter aftertaste that avoids harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth texture and moderate carbonation. No harsh hop-derived astringency. A restrained, smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated.
