This American IPA showcases a unique aromatic tapestry woven from a trio of Citra, Cashmere, and Loral hops. Citra provides a consistent foundation of bright tangerine, anchoring the more whimsical notes of its counterparts. The addition of Cashmere introduces an unexpected depth of dark berry, while Loral enhances the profile with delicate hints of strawberry and a zesty Meyer lemon finish. Supported by a lean, grainy malt bill, the beer maintains a hop-forward focus with a crisp, dry profile. It represents a creative departure from the norm, balancing classic citrus bitterness with modern berry complexity.
Appearance. Deep gold color (approx. 7 SRM) with a brilliant to very slight haze. It features a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves consistent lacing on the glass.
Aroma. Intense hop aroma dominated by citrus and berry notes. Fresh tangerine from Citra mixes with strawberry and Meyer lemon from Loral, while Cashmere adds a distinct dark berry undertone. Low, clean, grainy-sweet malt provides a subtle background, with a very clean fermentation profile and no significant esters.
Taste. High hop flavor mirrors the aroma with layers of tangerine, summer berries, and bright lemon peel. Bitterness is firm and assertive, characteristic of the style, but remains clean without harshness. Low bready malt support keeps the balance firmly hop-forward. The finish is medium-dry to dry with a lingering, pleasant citrus and berry aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, soft texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively prickle on the tongue. A very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present but subtle.

Another week, another new IPA, just like pretty much every other week, going on 7 years, same as it ever was, blah blee boop. But this one – THIS one is DIFFERENT. It’s brewed with Citra, Cashmere, and Loral hops, which is a combo we’ve never done despite brewing like 500ish IPAs in our short existence. Very weird. Especially because this union makes sense – Cashmere throws some dark berry notes, and Loral sometimes throws Strawberry along with Meyer Lemon, and Citra is forever that tangerine glue that massages all the other varieties together. So give this one a go! It’s NEW! It’s NOVEL! It’s DIFFERENT!
