Cloudburst Brewing Good Problem
This American IPA exemplifies the classic West Coast profile with a brilliantly clear appearance and an aggressive, hop-forward character. The double dry-hopping regimen delivers an intense bouquet where the dank, resinous punch of Columbus hops meets the vibrant tropical and citrus notes of Citra and Mosaic. The addition of Krush hops introduces layers of ripe stone fruit, sharpening the sensory complexity. A lean, grainy malt backbone supports the high bitterness, leading to a crisp, dry finish. It is a sharp, clean, and assertively bitter ale that prioritizes hop saturation while maintaining the refreshing drinkability and bright, tropical aromatics characteristic of the style.
Appearance. Medium gold (7 SRM). Brilliantly clear with a medium-sized, white head featuring excellent persistence and tight lacing.
Aroma. Intense hop aroma characterized by prominent dank resin, grapefruit zest, and mango. Notes of blueberry and stone fruit are present, supported by a low, clean, grainy malt character. Fermentation is clean with no perceptible esters.
Taste. Initial impression is sharply bitter and hop-forward. Flavors of resinous pine, tropical citrus, and ripe melon dominate. A low, neutral grainy malt flavor provides a light platform for the hops. Finish is dry and crisp with a long, clean, lingering bitterness that avoids harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, crisp texture. Medium-high carbonation provides a prickly sensation that enhances the dry finish. Very light, smooth alcohol warmth is present.

We keep running out of WCIPAs. So do our accounts. They say that’s “a good problem to have.” IS IT REALLY THO?! ‘Cause it seems like we’re missing out on an “opportunity” to sell all of you more deliciously dank, brightly tropical, sharply resinous, brilliantly clear, and assertively bitter DOUBLE DRY-HOPPED WEST COAST IPA. But here’s the rub – we only have 1, sometimes 2, single batch tanks that we can devote to the style. It’s brewed in 15 bbl batches, 4 weeks at a time, and that’s the best we can do. WHAT DO YOU THINK WE ARE, AN IPA FACTORY OR SOMETHING? Other types of beer need to be in other tanks – like pilsners and lagers, and other styles, some obscure, some traditional. But fine, queue the Sarah McLaughlin music, we have a special gift for you – this beer, brewed with Krush, Columbus, Mosaic, & Citra hops.
