This West Coast American IPA is a masterclass in hop history, showcasing a double dry-hopped profile that balances legacy and modern character. The aromatic punch is led by the resinous pine of Chinook and the pungent, dank herbs of Columbus, while Citra adds a vibrant layer of bright grapefruit and tropical lime. It pours brilliantly clear with a crisp, dry finish that emphasizes its firm bitterness. Clean, grainy malts provide a lean foundation, allowing the interplay of classic forest notes and contemporary citrus to dominate the palate. It is a sharp, refreshing, and unapologetically hoppy experience that highlights legendary Pacific Northwest varieties.
Appearance. Color is medium gold with brilliant clarity. Features a medium-sized, off-white head with excellent persistence and thick lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent resinous pine, spicy herbal notes, and pungent grapefruit zest. A low, clean, cracker-like maltiness supports the hops. Fermentation is clean with virtually no esters.
Taste. High hop flavor of citrus pith, pine needles, and subtle tropical fruit. Low, grainy malt presence with a hint of toasted bread. Medium-high to high bitterness that is clean and sharp. Finishes very dry and crisp with a long, lingering hoppy aftertaste.
