Cloak and Dagger’s Yeti Confetti presents as a vibrant American IPA that leans into a contemporary hazy wheat character. The sensory experience is dominated by a punchy Southern Hemisphere hop profile, where Nelson Sauvin delivers its signature notes of crushed white grape and tart gooseberry. Supporting this, Rakau and Wai-iti hops contribute lush layers of ripe apricot and delicate stone fruit. The wheat-heavy grist provides a soft, pillowy foundation that balances the assertive hop bitterness without overshadowing the bright, tropical fruit esters. It finishes clean and dry, inviting another sip of this refreshing, fruit-forward expression.
Appearance. SRM 4-6; Pale gold with a pronounced, persistent hazy clarity typical of a wheat-heavy grist. Features a medium-sized, frothy white head with excellent retention and delicate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma with distinct notes of white grape, gooseberry, and apricot. Subtle lime and stone fruit esters are supported by a low, grainy, bready malt character from the wheat.
Taste. Initial hop-forward impression of tropical fruit and apricot, followed by sharp gooseberry and white grape flavors. Low grainy-sweet maltiness provides a soft backbone. Bitterness is firm and clean, leading into a medium-dry finish with a lingering fruity, hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, soft texture due to the wheat content. Medium-high carbonation provides a crisp, refreshing bite. No alcohol warmth or astringency present.
