Clandestina Intriga is a refreshing expression of the Witbier style, designed for social curiosity and clean food pairings. It presents a pale gold hue with a characteristic milky haze and a persistent, creamy white head. The sensory profile is led by vibrant zesty orange and perfumy coriander, supported by a gentle bready wheat backbone. Distinctive Belgian yeast character contributes subtle notes of clove and banana, enhancing the complexity without overwhelming the palate. Appearance. Pale gold (approx. 3 SRM). Lightly hazy with a milky, whitish-yellow opacity from suspended yeast and wheat starches. Features a dense, white, moussy head with excellent retention and lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring bready, grainy wheat malt and faint hints of honey. Prominent citrusy-orangey fruitiness is complemented by a spicy, perfumy coriander presence. Low yeast-derived phenols of clove and esters of banana add a nuanced spicy-fruity layer typical of the fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial bready and grainy wheat flavors lead into a moderate zesty, orange-citrus fruitiness. Subtle spicy-herbal coriander flavors are well-integrated.
