Titanic Cave is a formidable Belgian Dark Strong Ale, crafted as a collaboration with Metalhead Brewery. At a robust 11% ABV, it presents an intricate tapestry of deep malt richness and evocative dark fruit. Layers of dried plums, black cherries, and figs emerge against a bready-toasty malt base, underscored by subtle dark caramel and a whisper of vanilla. The Belgian yeast strain imparts a sophisticated spiciness, primarily black pepper, which balances the inherent sweetness. Despite its considerable strength, the finish is remarkably smooth, with a refined alcohol warmth that complements the velvety, medium-full body without ever turning solventy or heavy.

Appearance. Deep coppery-brown with excellent clarity. It supports a huge, dense, moussy, and persistent cream-colored head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity featuring a complex blend of rich, toasty malt and dark caramel. Prominent esters of raisins, plums, and dates are balanced by soft, peppery phenols and a perfumy alcohol presence. Hop aroma is absent.

Taste. A rich and complex malt-forward initial impression with flavors of dark bread crust and caramel. Deep fruit flavors of dried cherries and figs dominate the mid-palate. Bitterness is medium-low, providing just enough structure against the malt. The finish is moderately dry with a lingering note of spicy yeast and smooth alcohol warmth.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a creamy, velvety texture. High carbonation provides a lively lift that prevents the beer from feeling syrupy. Noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth.
