Clandestin Beer

KING ArthuD2 is a vibrant Hazy IPA that captures an intense bouquet of tropical and stone fruits. A massive dry-hop addition featuring Talus, Azacca, and HBC1019 drives a complex sensory profile. Expect layers of ripe mango and papaya alongside bright grapefruit and a unique floral, rose-like top note from the Talus. The palate is defined by a soft, juicy texture supported by a restrained bitterness and a clean, bready malt backbone. HBC1019 adds a distinctive creamy peach and melon character that lingers through the smooth, off-dry finish, while the flaked grains contribute to a lush, approachable mouthfeel.

Appearance. Pours a hazy, opaque straw to golden-yellow with a luminous sheen. It is topped by a thick, rocky, meringue-like white head that exhibits excellent retention and leaves intricate lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by mango, papaya, and sweet melon. Bright citrus zest and a subtle floral quality reminiscent of dried roses are prominent. A clean, neutral, lightly bready malt scent sits quietly in the background without any toast or caramel.

Taste. An explosion of juicy tropical fruit flavors mirrors the aroma, highlighting peach, orange, and grapefruit. The malt character is low, providing a simple, grainy foundation. Bitterness is moderate but perceived as low due to the soft body. The finish is smooth and off-dry, with lingering notes of tropical fruit and no harsh hop astringency.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a remarkably smooth, soft, and pillowy texture. Carbonation is moderate. There is a light, well-integrated alcohol warmth and an absence of any raw starch or acidic harshness.
