Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper (7-10 SRM). Pours with a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head that leaves consistent lacing. Clarity is clear with a faint, acceptable chill haze.
Aroma. Intense hop-forward bouquet featuring grapefruit and lime, backed by pungent pine and resinous depth. Distinctive notes of gooseberry and white grape add complexity. Low, clean, grainy malt presence provides a neutral canvas. Fermentation is clean with very low fruit esters.
Taste. High-intensity hop flavors of tropical fruit, sharp citrus, and damp pine. Bitterness is firm and assertive but lacks harshness. The malt profile is supportive and soft, hinting at lightly toasted crackers. Finishes very dry with a lingering bitterness and a touch of resinous hop oil. Minimal alcohol flavor, well-integrated.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively prickle. Includes a soft, restrained alcohol warmth appropriate for the 8% ABV. No significant hop-derived astringency.
