As the flagship lager of Cittavecchia, Giant Cave offers an elegant Italian expression of the classic Munich Helles style. It pours a brilliant golden hue, topped by a dense, persistent white head. The sensory journey begins with a pronounced grainy-sweet malt backbone accented by gentle honeyed notes. Traditional herbal hop aromas provide a charming, non-invasive counterpoint to the rich malt profile. On the palate, a soft, rounded mouthfeel carries flavors of freshly baked bread and wildflower honey, balanced by a restrained bitterness and a hint of bright acidity. This clean, well-lagered character culminates in a smooth, dry finish that invites repeated sips.
Appearance. Brilliant golden color (approx. 4-5 SRM). Features a fine, dense, and persistent white head with excellent lacing and brilliant clarity.
Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring a grainy-sweet malt character with distinct notes of honey and cracker. Low herbal hop aroma is present, providing a fresh counterpoint. Clean fermentation profile without esters or diacetyl.
