Cierzo Brewing Co.’s Roadrunner is an assertive Double IPA that cruises through a vibrant landscape of American hops. The sensory profile is driven by the trifecta of Citra, Mosaic, and Sabro, delivering an intense aromatic experience. Bright citrus notes of grapefruit and lime from the Citra blend seamlessly with the tropical berry and papaya characteristics of Mosaic. The Sabro provides a unique twist, contributing hints of coconut and stone fruit. At 8% ABV, the beer maintains a clean, lean malt profile that emphasizes hop expression. It finishes dry and bitter, showcasing a masterful balance between high-octane strength and remarkable drinkability.

Appearance. Gold to light orange-copper color (7-9 SRM). Good clarity with a light, modern hop haze. Moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head with fine lacing.

Aroma. High intensity. Prominent hop-derived notes of grapefruit, tangerine, and tropical mango are accented by a distinct coconut and cedar-like hint from the Sabro. Low, neutral, grainy malt presence in the background. Clean fermentation profile with a subtle, smooth alcohol note.

Taste. Strong and complex hop flavors of lime zest, pineapple, and stone fruit. Moderately high bitterness that is firm but lacks harshness. Low, supportive, clean malt character. Dry to medium-dry finish with a lingering hoppy and resinous aftertaste. Neutral fermentation with a light, clean alcohol flavor.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Medium to medium-high carbonation. Restrained, smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated. No hop-derived astringency.
