Heavyweight delivers a punch of New World hop character, balancing intensity with a lean, efficient structure. This Double IPA showcases a collaborative hop battle between the tropical, pineapple-forward notes of Vic Secret and the zesty, lemon-lime brightness of Motueka. The aroma is saturated with passion fruit and citrus oils, supported by a clean, neutral malt base that keeps the focus entirely on the lupulin profile. On the palate, a firm but smooth bitterness anchors layers of crushed herbs and stone fruit. Despite its strength, the finish remains remarkably dry and crisp, emphasizing high drinkability over heavy sweetness or malt richness.

Appearance. Deep gold to light copper (8-10 SRM) with a slight, modern haze. Produces a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head with significant lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent pineapple, passion fruit, and pine from the Vic Secret, alongside distinct lime zest and lemon notes from the Motueka. Background malt is neutral and grainy-sweet; fermentation is clean with no significant esters.

Taste. Strong, complex hop flavors of tropical fruit and citrus pith lead into a high but smooth bitterness. The malt character is low and unobtrusive, providing just enough support for the hop saturation. It finishes very dry with a clean, lingering hoppy and bitter aftertaste that invites another sip.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, oily hop texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a crisp bite. A restrained, smooth alcohol warmth is present without being solventy or harsh.
