This Hazy IPA captures a vibrant, tropical essence through a thoughtful collaboration with Maresme Brewery. The sensory experience is led by an intense bouquet of pineapple and stone fruit, driven by the inclusion of Bru-1, alongside rich layers of mango and orange from the Azacca variety. Ahtanum hops provide a delicate floral and grapefruit lift that balances the juice-forward character. Visually turbid with a luminous straw-to-orange glow, it offers a soft, pillowy mouthfeel and a restrained bitterness that emphasizes drinkability. Bready, grainy malts provide a subtle foundation, ensuring the lush hop profile remains the focus through a clean, off-dry finish designed for the common palate.
Appearance. Color is a luminous straw to light orange (4-6 SRM). Opaque, uniform haze with a healthy shine; no visible particulates. Topped by a medium, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and beautiful lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring dominant fresh pineapple, mango, and papaya. Secondary citrus notes of grapefruit and orange zest with a light floral top note. Malt is low and neutral, presenting as grainy or lightly bready. Fermentation character is clean and supportive.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor mirroring the aroma with intense pineapple and stone fruit. Malt flavor is low to medium-low, providing a soft bready base. Perceived bitterness is moderate but restrained, lacking any harshness or resinous bite. The finish is off-dry and soft, with a lingering, juicy fruit aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, soft, and pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation. No astringency or raw starchiness. Alcohol warmth is light and well-integrated at 6% ABV.
