Charlone Mafalda
Designed for sunny afternoons, this sessionable Hazy IPA radiates with a sun-kissed, juice-like intensity. Fermented with Voss and Hornidal Kveik yeasts, it displays a vibrant yeast-hop synergy. Ripe stone fruit, bright orange citrus, and tropical mango notes jump from the glass, underpinned by a soft, pillowy malt backbone. Despite its moderate alcohol level, the beer delivers a surprisingly full, velvety mouthfeel, concluding with a soft, restrained bitterness that leaves a refreshing, fruit-forward trail on the palate. It is a wonderfully bright, drinkable tribute to outdoor relaxation.
Appearance. Deep straw to pale orange in color with a striking, opaque, luminous haze. It is crowned by a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and heavy, persistent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity aroma featuring dominant notes of ripe mango, stone fruit, and bright tangerine citrus, closely intertwined with the tropical esters from the Voss and Hornidal Kveik yeasts. The background contains a clean, doughy, and bready malt character, completely devoid of toasted or caramel notes.
Taste. An initial burst of sweet mango, peach, and orange citrus flavor leads the palate. The malt contribution is low, offering a clean, bready, and slightly sweet foundation. Bittering is moderate, soft, and completely devoid of harshness, leading to an off-dry, smooth finish with a lingering, juicy fruit aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full, remarkably soft, and pillowy. Medium carbonation enhances the smooth, velvety texture. There is a very gentle, subtle warmth and absolutely no hop burn or astringency.
