Ceuta Star La Rubia presents a refreshing take on the classic Witbier, blending the soft, bready character of barley and wheat malts with a vibrant, intense fruitiness. A unique addition of honey during its natural double fermentation provides a delicate floral sweetness and a hint of vanilla that complements the traditional zesty orange and spicy coriander aromatics. This golden ale pours with a thick, mousse-like white head that persists, releasing a bouquet of citrus and herbal notes. Its effervescent carbonation and light, creamy body lead to a crisp, dry finish, making it an exceptionally clean and balanced summer beverage.
Appearance.Pale straw to deep yellow in color (2–4 SRM). The beer is noticeably cloudy with a milky, whitish-yellow haze from the wheat and yeast. It features a dense, white, mousse-like head with excellent retention and light lacing.
Aroma.Moderate bready maltiness is enriched by distinct notes of honey and a light floral sweetness. High intensity of zesty, citrusy-orange fruitiness blends with moderate perfumy coriander and a background of spicy, peppery yeast esters. Hop aroma is absent, allowing the spicy and fruity elements to dominate.
Taste.Initial impression of grainy, bready malt followed by a subtle honey-like sweetness. Zesty orange and citrus fruit flavors are prominent, balanced by delicate herbal-spicy coriander notes. Hop bitterness is low, providing just enough structure to support the refreshing fruit profile. The finish is refreshingly crisp and dry, without any harsh or lingering bitter aftertaste.
Mouthfeel.Medium-light body with a smooth, creamy texture derived from the wheat. Very high carbonation from the natural double fermentation process creates a lively, effervescent mouthfeel. No alcohol warmth or astringency is present.
