Cervezas Abadía Lager presents a refined take on the American Lager, elevated by artisanal Spanish craftsmanship. Brewed with high-quality two-row spring barley and a thoughtful blend of Pilsner and Caramel malts, it offers a sophisticated grainy sweetness and subtle honeyed depth. The sensory experience is defined by a clean, balanced profile where floral hop aromas from select varieties mingle with a smooth, approachable bitterness. Its unique bottle maturation fosters an integrated harmony, revealing an intense yet gentle flavor profile. Despite its heritage, it remains refreshingly crisp, delivering a polished finish that celebrates local ingredients and an exclusive yeast strain’s delicate fermentation character.
Appearance.Pale straw to light gold (3-4 SRM). Brilliantly clear, though as an artisanal product, a very slight haze or fine sediment may be present. Topped with a white, frothy head showing moderate retention and light lacing.
Aroma.Low to moderate intensity. Clean grainy-sweet malt character from the Pilsner malt, with a very faint hint of biscuit or honey from the Caramel malt. Low floral and spicy hop aroma. Clean fermentation profile with no significant esters.
Taste.Initial impression is a crisp, grainy sweetness. Malt flavors of fresh bread and light toasted grain lead. Low floral hop flavor is present. Hop bitterness is low to moderate-low, providing a smooth balance against the malt. The finish is clean and dry with a short, refreshing aftertaste.
Mouthfeel.Medium-light body with moderate carbonation, which is slightly lower than mass-market examples to emphasize the artisanal malt profile. Smooth texture with no astringency and a very light alcohol warmth.
