This Double IPA is a vibrant expression of local Mallarauco citrus blossom honey integrated into a bold, modern profile. On the nose, Citra CRYO delivers intense notes of grapefruit and lime, while Sabro introduces a signature touch of coconut and tropical cream. The honey adds a delicate floral layer that complements the high hop intensity without weighing down the palate. A hazy, golden pour leads to a soft but firm bitterness, balancing the 8% ABV with a clean, dry finish. It showcases a sophisticated interplay between tropical fruit, resinous pine, and a whisper of citrus nectar, embodying a potent yet approachable Strong American Ale.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (7-9 SRM) with a pronounced haze. Features a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by Citra CRYO's bright citrus and grapefruit, alongside Sabro's tropical notes of coconut and pineapple. A distinct floral, honey-like sweetness is evident, supported by a clean, neutral grainy malt background. Very low fruity esters; alcohol is present but subtle and well-integrated.
Taste. Initial hop-forward punch of tropical fruit and lime zest, followed by the delicate, floral character of local honey. The malt is soft and unobtrusive, providing a light crackery grain base. Bitterness is firm and assertive but smooth, lacking any harshness. The Sabro hops contribute a unique creamy coconut flavor mid-palate. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering resinous and citrusy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate-high. There is a gentle, restrained alcohol warmth appropriate for its 8% strength, with no hop-derived astringency.

Una locura!
