This Imperial Stout presents a profound sensory journey, led by an intense roasted profile of dark chocolate and espresso. The addition of vanilla creates a harmonious bridge between the deep, dark caramel sweetness and the robust, dry bitterness. On the palate, the inclusion of oats provides a luxuriously silky and velvety texture, rounding out the full-bodied experience. Appearance. Jet black and opaque (SRM 40+). Pours with a thick, dense, deep tan head with moderate retention. High viscosity is evident by the presence of legs on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominated by dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans, and sweet vanilla. Secondary notes of dark caramel, prunes, and raisins are complemented by a faint, clean alcohol warmth and a subtle, earthy, resinous hop character.

Taste. A complex interplay of bittersweet chocolate, espresso, and burnt grain. The initial sweetness of dark caramel and vanilla is quickly balanced by a firm, robust hop bitterness.
