Evoking the classic spirit of a West Coast style American IPA, Cerveza MUR Cercano Oeste delivers a hop-forward journey where malt plays a strictly supporting role. A vibrant sensory tapestry of citrus and tropical fruit unfolds, showcasing bright orange and lime zest integrated with juicy passionfruit and ripe apricot. A subtle, rustic crack of black pepper adds a spicy layer of complexity. Crisp, clean, and highly attenuated, this pale golden ale finishes decisively dry, letting a clean, fleeting bitterness linger gently without harshness, beautifully embodying the refreshing, bitter balance of old-school pale ales.

Appearance. Clear, brilliant deep gold to light amber. Pours with a thick, frothy, persistent off-white head that leaves excellent lacing along the glass.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by citrus and tropical fruit, featuring prominent notes of fresh orange peel, lime zest, and tropical passionfruit, complemented by stone fruit sweetness resembling ripe apricot. A distinctive, light, spicy undertone of cracked black pepper cuts through, backed by a very low, clean, neutral grainy malt sweetness. Clean fermentation profile with no yeast esters.

Taste. Hop-forward initial impression with dominant flavors of orange, lime, and passionfruit, followed closely by a soft apricot stone-fruit character. A gentle, spicy black pepper note adds depth. Low, clean, bready-grainy malt provides a minimal backbone. Bitterness is medium-high but exceptionally clean, smooth, and fleeting rather than harsh. Highly attenuated, finishing very dry and crisp with a lingering, hoppy, and cleanly bitter aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, crisp texture. Moderate to medium-high carbonation. Displays a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth and absolutely no astringency or harshness.

Esta combinación de lúpulos nos permite apreciar aromas y sabores a naranja y lima, pimienta negra, maracuyá y damasco. Sin embargo le metimos nuestra impronta con una levadura que genera ésteres frutados (rompiendo un poco con la teoría del estilo).
