This Double West Coast IPA presents a modern, assertive sensory profile driven by a heavy double dry-hop of Talus and Amarillo. On the nose, Talus contributes its signature bouquet of dried rose petals and sage, while Amarillo adds layers of bright orange zest and grapefruit. The palate follows with a clean, lean malt foundation that allows the hops to dominate, delivering a firm bitterness characteristic of the style. The finish is strikingly dry and resinous, highlighting the floral and tropical nuances of the specific hop blend while maintaining a crisp, clear character that belies its robust strength and sophisticated hop complexity.

Appearance. Ranging from deep gold to light copper (approx. 7–10 SRM), this beer exhibits brilliant clarity typical of the West Coast style. It is topped with a dense, persistent off-white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High-intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of pink grapefruit, orange marmalade, and floral blossoms from the Amarillo. Talus adds a unique herbal sage and resinous pine complexity with hints of tropical stone fruit. The malt presence is low and clean, offering a light cracker or grainy sweetness, while fermentation remains neutral with no significant esters.

Taste. Initial impression is a sharp, clean hop bitterness that is medium-high to very high. Malt flavors are supportive but restrained, providing a neutral grainy or light toasted base. Hop flavors of citrus pith, pine resin, and floral spice dominate throughout. The finish is very dry with a lingering, clean bitterness and a faint, smooth alcohol presence in the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture from the heavy hop load. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a crisp bite that enhances the dry finish. A light, pleasant alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated, with no astringency or harshness.
