This vibrant Berliner Weisse offers a modern, fruit-intensive interpretation of the classic German sour wheat ale. The sensory profile is dominated by a trifecta of raspberry, blueberry, and passion fruit, which provide a lush, multi-layered berry sweetness and tropical tang. These fruit additions are perfectly integrated with a clean, moderate lactic acidity that provides a refreshing sharpness. A delicate, doughy wheat malt backbone supports the tartness without adding weight. Highly effervescent and exceptionally crisp, the beer delivers a bright, refreshing experience where the juicy fruit character leads into a bone-dry, cleansing finish, staying true to its sessionable heritage while maximizing flavor intensity.
Appearance. Deep pink to reddish-purple in hue (8–14 SRM). Features a large, pink-tinted, dense head with poor retention. Clarity is hazy to nearly opaque due to the high volume of fruit solids and wheat protein.
Aroma. High intensity of fresh raspberry and tart passion fruit, followed by more subtle, earthy blueberry notes. A moderately sharp lactic sourness is dominant, accompanied by a light, raw bread dough malt scent. No hop aroma is present.
Taste. Initial impression is a sharp, clean lactic sourness immediately followed by an explosion of jammy raspberry and tropical passion fruit. A complementary doughy, grainy wheat flavor provides a subtle foundation. Hop bitterness is undetectable, with acidity providing the primary balance. It finishes exceptionally dry and crisp with a lingering tart berry aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Light body that remains refreshing rather than thin. Very high carbonation creates a spritzy, effervescent sensation. No alcohol warmth is perceived at this ABV. Low astringency from fruit skins.
