This Hazy IPA delivers an intensified aromatic experience despite its approachable 6% ABV. Massive additions of Cryo Simcoe and Citra hops, totaling 25 grams per liter, create a saturated profile of ripe mango, passion fruit, and bright tangerine. The appearance is characteristically opaque with a luminous orange glow and a thick, meringue-like white head. On the palate, a soft, pillowy texture supports a succulent sweetness that rounds out the tropical fruit intensity. While the bitterness is restrained, the sheer volume of hop oils provides a deep, resinous finish. It is a dense, juicy expression of the style, balancing lush fruit esters with a clean, supportive malt base.
Appearance. Pale gold to light orange (4-6 SRM). Opaque, uniform haze with a luminous, matte shine. Topped by a dense, rocky, white head with excellent retention and thick, web-like lacing.
Aroma. High intensity. Explosive tropical notes of pineapple, guava, and mango from the Cryo Simcoe and Citra. Significant citrus presence including orange zest and grapefruit juice. Background notes of neutral, bready malt with no toasted or caramel character. Fermentation is clean with supportive fruity esters that amplify the hop profile.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical juice. High fruity hop flavor mirroring the aroma, featuring sweet citrus and stone fruit. Malt flavor is low, providing a simple, grainy-sweet foundation. Perceived bitterness is low to moderate, well-integrated and never harsh. Finishes off-dry and smooth with a lingering, resinous fruitiness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy mouthfeel. Moderate carbonation. Very light alcoholic warmth. Smooth and creamy texture with no hop-derived astringency or harshness.
