Cervesa Màger Turbo is a vibrant Sour Ale that beautifully bridges the gap between craft beer and traditional cider. Co-fermented with fresh Campllong apples from Serps Sidra, this collaboration showcases a bright, lactic acidity harmonized with rustic orchard fruit. The sensory experience is defined by the sharp, crisp snap of heritage apples, providing both juicy fruit character and a subtle, skin-like tannic structure. A lean malt backbone supports the fruit without intruding, leading to a bone-dry, effervescent finish. It is a refreshing, expertly balanced hybrid that emphasizes the terroir of the apples while maintaining its identity as a clean, puckering Fruit Beer.
Appearance. Pale straw to light gold (3–5 SRM). Pours with a moderate white head that dissipates fairly quickly. Slight haze is present, characteristic of the apple solids and sour fermentation process.
Aroma. High intensity of fresh, tart apples and cider-like aromatics. Underlying notes of crackery malt and a clean lactic sourness. Minimal hop aroma. The Campllong apples provide a nuanced, slightly floral and earthy fruit profile with high intensity.
Taste. Initial impression is a sharp, refreshing lactic tartness. Dominant flavors of crisp green apples and subtle red fruit sweetness from the cider co-fermentation. The malt provides a light, bready support. Hop bitterness is very low, allowing the fruit's natural acidity and mild tannins to provide balance. Finishes bone-dry and clean with a lingering apple skin aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Light body with a crisp, refreshing quality. High carbonation provides a lively, spritzy sensation. Very low alcohol warmth at 5% ABV. Subtle puckering astringency from the apple tannins and acidity.
