Cervesa Màger Lambrusca

Cervesa Màger Lambrusca is a sophisticated Brett Beer that bridges the gap between wild ale and fine wine. Utilizing a blend of beers aged for up to three years, this mixed-fermentation ale undergoes a transformation through refermentation with native Callet grapes from Mallorca. The result is a vibrant, vinous profile defined by macerated grape skins and natural yeasts. Expect a bouquet of rustic funk—wet hay and earthy leather—intertwined with bright red berry and stone fruit notes. The palate is bone-dry and effervescent, showcasing a complex interplay of wood-derived tannins and a gentle, grape-driven acidity that lingers through a clean, elegant finish.
Appearance. Deep ruby to garnet with a slight haze; forms a moderate, pink-tinted head with fair retention and fine lacing.
Aroma. High intensity; prominent Brettanomyces funk (leather, barnyard) balanced by rich vinous notes of red grape must, plum, and subtle oak.
Taste. Initial tartness from grape refermentation leads to flavors of wild strawberry and darker stone fruits. The Brett character is well-integrated, offering earthy complexity without being overwhelming. Extremely dry finish with a lingering tannic structure and soft wood notes.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high, prickly carbonation; features a slight tannic astringency from grape skins and a warming, well-integrated alcohol presence.
