This Imperial Stout is an opulent sensory journey, born from a blend aged in fifteen-year whisky barrels. It presents an intense aromatic profile where deep-seated notes of coffee, cocoa, and toasted caramel collide with the elegance of Scotch whisky and vanilla-tinged oak. The palate is profoundly complex, revealing layers of biscuit and black licorice against a robust, silky backdrop. A bold twelve-point-five percent ABV provides a sophisticated warmth that integrates seamlessly with the dark malt sweetness. The experience concludes with a long, liquory finish, balancing a touch of smokiness and wood tannins for a lingering, contemplative aftertaste.

Appearance. Opaque, jet black color (40+ SRM) with a thick, deep tan head. Displays excellent viscosity with visible legs on the glass as the beer swirled.

Aroma. High intensity with a rich blend of roasted coffee, bittersweet chocolate, and black licorice. The whisky barrel aging is prominent, contributing notes of vanilla, toasted oak, and a refined Scotch whisky character. Subtle dark fruit esters like prunes and raisins emerge as it warms.

Taste. Intense and multi-layered flavors of dark cocoa, roasted malts, and toasted caramel. A distinct biscuit-like maltiness provides a foundation for the barrel-derived vanilla and oak tannins. Medium-high bitterness balances the residual sweetness. The finish is long and liquory with a slight smokiness and a clean, warming alcohol presence.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and chewy with a velvety, luscious texture. Low to moderate carbonation. Significant but smooth alcohol warmth is present without being sharp or fusel.
