This award-winning Doppelbock offers a masterclass in malt complexity, presenting a sensory profile rich with toasted biscuit, almond, and cocoa notes. Utilizing a traditional base of Munich and Vienna malts, the beer delivers deep Maillard character alongside distinctive accents of raisin and light chocolate. Despite its robust 7.9% ABV, the clean lager fermentation ensures a smooth, neutral backdrop that allows the malt to remain the focal point. The palate is velvety and full-bodied, benefiting from a long maturation process that balances a firm bitterness against the luxurious grain sweetness, resulting in a sophisticated and warming finish.
Appearance. Deep copper to dark brown with brilliant clarity and attractive ruby highlights. It features a large, creamy, and persistent off-white head with good lacing.
