Cervejaria Invicta Conan is a vibrant Hazy IPA that exemplifies the juicy, fruit-forward nature of the style. The heavy dry-hop regimen featuring Columbus, Mosaic, and Citra creates an explosive sensory experience. Bright aromas of mango, passion fruit, and zesty tangerine dominate the nose, with the Columbus adding a subtle, grounding resinous touch. The palate is saturated with tropical fruit flavors and citrus oil, supported by a soft, pillowy mouthfeel and a light, grainy malt base. Despite its 55 IBU, the bitterness is smooth and integrated, finishing with a lingering, succulent fruit character and a clean, off-dry finish.
Appearance. Straw to pale gold with a deep, opaque haze that gives the beer a luminous quality. Topped with a medium-to-thick, meringue-like white head that exhibits high retention and leaves delicate lacing on the glass.
Aroma. Intense hop aroma characterized by stone fruit, tropical fruit, and citrus. Specifically, notes of ripe mango, pineapple, and grapefruit zest are prominent. Behind the hops, a light, bready, and grainy malt character exists, with clean fermentation and supportive fruity esters.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor mirroring the tropical and citrus notes found in the aroma. The malt flavor is low and neutral, providing a soft background. Bitterness is moderate but masked by a full, soft body, leading to an off-dry finish that is juicy and smooth rather than sharp or harsh.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, almost creamy texture and no perceived harshness. Carbonation is moderate, providing a gentle lift. There is a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth that remains subtle at 6% ABV.
