Celebrating their 4th anniversary, Keyer presents a vibrant Gose that highlights a sharp citrus profile. The addition of lemon and lime peel drives an immediate, bright aromatic intensity that melds seamlessly with the doughy wheat malt base. On the palate, the lactic acidity is crisp and approachable, providing a tart backbone for the zesty citrus notes. A touch of sea salt adds a subtle, mouthwatering salinity that rounds out the mouthfeel without becoming overtly salty. The finish is exceptionally dry and effervescent, leaving a lingering, refreshing tang of lime and a clean, mineral-driven quality.
Appearance. Pale yellow (3 SRM). Unfiltered with a moderate to full haze. Features a tall, bright white head with tight bubbles and very good retention. Highly effervescent.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Dominated by bright lemon and lime zest, supported by a moderate bready and doughy wheat malt character. Clean, sharp lactic sourness is present, with a light mineral-like saltiness and no detectable hop aroma.
Taste. Immediate, refreshing tartness with a medium-low lactic sourness. Moderate bready malt flavor provides a brief foundation for intense citrus flavors of lime and lemon. Light but noticeable sea salt character provides a mouthwatering quality rather than overt saltiness. Very low bitterness with no hop flavor. Finishes very dry and crisp with lingering citrus acidity.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with very high, effervescent carbonation. The sea salt provides a tingly, rounder, and thicker texture on the tongue despite the thinning effects of the acidity. No alcohol warmth.
