Eau De Chele is a decadent interpretation of an American Stout, pouring jet black with a persistent tan head. The sensory profile is defined by a bold collision of high-roast coffee and bittersweet chocolate against a rich, buttery salted caramel backdrop. While the style’s signature citrusy and resiny American hop character provides a firm underlying bitterness, it is softened by the savory-sweet interplay of the caramel and salt additions. The result is a complex, medium-full bodied experience where the char of dark roasted malts meets a smooth, mineral finish, balancing aggressive roast with indulgent confectionery notes.

Appearance. Opaque jet black (SRM 40); large, persistent tan head with excellent lacing and a creamy texture.

Aroma. High intensity roasted malt aroma featuring dark chocolate and espresso. These notes are complemented by a distinct salted caramel sweetness, offering hints of toffee and vanilla. Low citrusy hop aroma and faint fruity esters provide a subtle brightness.

Taste. The initial impression is one of rich bittersweet chocolate and burnt coffee grounds, quickly followed by a savory-sweet wave of salted caramel. Moderate-high bitterness from both roasted grains and hops provides balance. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering salted toffee and dark roast aftertaste. Alcohol is smooth and well-integrated.
