This American IPA is a masterclass in modern West Coast aromatics, showcasing the pungent synergy of Strata and Mosaic hops. Initial sensory impressions are dominated by a dank, weedy quality and bright tropical bursts of pineapple and guava. As the profile unfolds, the Mosaic influence introduces layers of tangerine and resinous pine, while Strata contributes a zesty lemon lift. Clean pale malts provide a crisp, lean foundation that ensures the hop character remains the focal point. Bright and bracing, the beer finishes with a sharp, resinous bitterness and a dry, refreshing snap characteristic of the style's coastal heritage.
Appearance. Medium gold (6–8 SRM). Brilliant clarity. Persistent, medium-sized white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring heavy notes of cannabis, tropical pineapple, and guava. Secondary notes of tangerine, lemon zest, and resinous pine. Low, clean, grainy-sweet maltiness supports the hops. Clean fermentation profile.
Taste. High hop flavor mirroring the aroma: focused dankness, pineapple, and citrus followed by resinous pine. Firm bitterness dominates but remains clean. Malt is low and neutral, presenting as light cracker or dry bread. Dry finish with a lingering hoppy, bitter aftertaste.
