This coffee-infused Vienna Lager presents an elegant fusion of traditional European brewing and aromatic adjuncts. At its core, the clean, toasty character of Vienna malt provides a bready foundation, subtly enhanced by a gentle caramel sweetness. The addition of freshly roasted coffee introduces a smooth, nutty, and delicate roasty essence that integrates seamlessly with the lager’s refined profile. Appearance. Light reddish-amber to copper in color (12-14 SRM). Bright clarity with a large, off-white, persistent head that leaves fine lacing on the glass.
Aroma. Moderate intensity with a dominant toasted, bready-rich malt character. This is layered with a smooth, nutty coffee presence and a hint of caramel. Spicy continental hop aroma is very low to none. Clean fermentation profile with no esters or phenols.
Taste. Initial impression of soft, elegant malt complexity. The mid-palate reveals toasted bread and light caramel flavors alongside a nutty, roasted coffee essence. Bitterness is moderate, providing a firm balance against the malt. The finish is fairly dry and smooth, with a lingering aftertaste of light roast and bready grain.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a gentle creaminess and smooth texture. Moderate carbonation. Very low alcohol warmth, consistent with its 4.8% ABV. No astringency from the coffee or hops.
