This Experimental Beer bridges German precision with Belgian soul, presenting a rich profile driven by deeply toasted Munich malt character. The aroma opens with intense notes of caramelized crust and toasted bread, layered over expressive Belgian yeast esters of dried plum and subtle clove spice. On the palate, the German production method ensures a clean yet complex malt delivery, balancing dark fruit sweetness with a structured, refined bitterness. It is extraordinarily intense and full-bodied, designed to stand up to hearty red meats, finishing with a well-integrated, lingering warmth that reflects its unique hybrid heritage.
Appearance. Deep copper to mahogany (17-22 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a dense, creamy, off-white head that demonstrates excellent retention and leaves thick lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity malt-forward profile featuring rich toasted bread, biscuit, and light caramel notes. Complementing this are moderate Belgian esters reminiscent of raisin and dark cherry, with a very low floral hop presence and no detectable diacetyl.
Taste. Initial impression is of luxurious, bready Munich malt sweetness followed by complex layers of fig and plum esters. The bitterness is medium-low but sufficient to balance the malt, leading into a clean, slightly dry finish. Malt flavors of toasted grain linger alongside a hint of peppery yeast phenols.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate, providing a gentle lift to the palate. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, without any harshness or astringency.
