Castrum Dubbel presents a refined take on the classic Belgian Dubbel, characterized by its deep chestnut hue and an inviting, toasted malt backbone. Appearance. Deep chestnut to dark copper (approximately 15 SRM) with an attractive reddish depth. Generally clear with a large, dense, long-lasting creamy off-white head.
Aroma. Moderate to moderately strong intensity featuring rich toasted malt and caramelized sugar. Moderate fruity esters suggesting raisins and plums are accented by a distinct citrus note. Low spicy, peppery phenols and a faint floral hop character.
