This American Stout offers a decadent sensory experience, balancing a robust roasted foundation with indulgent dessert-like additions. A jet-black pour leads with an intense aromatic bouquet where sweet vanilla and toasted almonds dominate, softening the typical charred coffee and bittersweet chocolate roast. While the addition of vanilla ice cream lends a creamy, confectionery character, the palate remains anchored by dark malt complexity and a firm, resinous bitterness characteristic of the style. The result is a sessionable yet rich experience, weaving lush sweetness into a dry, roasted finish that highlights the interplay between nutty almond notes and classic American hops.

Appearance. Jet black and opaque (SRM 40); features a large, persistent, light brown head with excellent retention and thick lacing.

Aroma. High intensity; dominant aromas of sweet vanilla bean and toasted almonds layered over a base of dark chocolate, espresso, and lightly burnt grain. Low resinous hop notes and a clean fermentation profile.

Taste. Initial impression of creamy vanilla sweetness and nutty almond, followed quickly by moderate to high roasted flavors of dark chocolate and coffee beans. Medium-high bitterness is present but tempered by adjunct sweetness. Finish is medium-dry with a lingering toasted grain and vanilla aftertaste; low citrus hop flavor in the background.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notable creaminess and smooth texture; moderate-high carbonation provides a crisp edge that balances the sweetness. Light, well-integrated alcohol warmth with minimal roast-derived astringency.
