This session-strength American IPA delivers a vibrant, hop-forward profile with remarkable drinkability. Bright grapefruit and sweet orange-blossom notes from Amarillo take center stage, quickly joined by the distinct piney resin and tropical passionfruit facets of Simcoe. Columbus adds a complex layer of herbal, earthy, and slightly dank undertones, giving the aroma and flavor impressive depth. Clean, light pale malt flavors provide a brief, crackery support before a crisp, firm bitterness asserts itself. It is a highly aromatic and refreshing pale ale that packs the sensory punch of a full-strength IPA into a beautifully light, accessible frame.
Appearance. Medium gold color (approximately 6 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a medium-sized, frothy white head that exhibits good persistence and leaves delicate lacing on the glass.
Aroma. Moderate to high hop aroma displaying dominant notes of fresh grapefruit, orange peel, and resinous pine, backed by a subtle herbal and spicy dankness. Low, clean, grainy-sweet maltiness supports the intense hop presentation. Fermentation profile is exceptionally clean with no yeast-derived esters.
Taste. Initial impression is highly hop-forward, bursting with citrus zest, pine needles, and light tropical fruit. Low, crackery malt flavor supports the hops without adding sweetness. Medium-high bitterness drives a very dry, crisp finish with a clean, lingering hoppy and bitter aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Medium-high carbonation. No astringency, harshness, or warmth, delivering an exceptionally refreshing finish.
