Hop-o-Rama is a bold American IPA that pays homage to the classic West Coast style of the mid-90s. Brewed with a massive focus on Centennial hops from Idaho, this beer delivers a punchy, resinous profile. The sensory experience is dominated by vibrant layers of citrus zest and fresh pine needles, complemented by an unexpected but delightful hint of bubblegum and savory spice. Five kettle additions build a firm, persistent bitterness, while a heavy dry-hop charge ensures a bright, aromatic punch. Despite its potent 8% ABV, the clean California yeast finish remains remarkably crisp and dangerously drinkable, showcasing a brilliant, golden clarity.
Appearance. Medium gold to light amber color (6–8 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent grapefruit, lemon zest, and resinous pine from the Centennial hops, accompanied by subtle floral spices and a unique bubblegum ester. Malt is low and clean, offering a light grainy sweetness.
Taste. Initial impression is a sharp, clean hop bitterness that remains firm through the finish. Intense hop flavors of citrus rind and pine resin dominate, supported by a light toasted malt backbone. A touch of bubblegum and spice adds complexity. The finish is dry and crisp with a lingering, pleasant hoppy aftertaste and no harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture from hop oils. Moderate-high carbonation provides a crisp bite. Alcohol presence is well-integrated, providing a very light, smooth warmth without being hot or fusel.
