Goldkolor is a vibrant American IPA that strikes a chord with its intense sensory profile. The experience begins with a bold, tropical percussion of mango and kiwi aromas, quickly accompanied by the sharp, citrus melody of ripe tangerine. This high-intensity hop character is supported by a clean, subtle grainy malt backbone that allows the fruit notes to resonate. On the palate, a firm, aggressive bitterness provides a muscular structure, driving through to a bone-dry finish. Appearance. Medium gold (approximately 7 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent tropical fruit notes of mango and kiwi, layered with bright citrus scents of ripe tangerine. Low, clean, grainy-sweet maltiness provides a neutral foundation. Fermentation is very clean with no detectable esters or phenols.
Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward and assertive. Vibrant hop flavors of mango, kiwi, and tangerine dominate the palate. Bitterness is firm and medium-high (consistent with 60 IBU), balanced by a low, neutral malt presence. The fermentation character is exceptionally clean, leading into a bone-dry, crisp finish with a lingering, hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, slightly crisp texture. Carbonation is medium-high, enhancing the dry finish. Alcohol warmth is very light and well-integrated at 6% ABV, with no perceptible astringency.
